Fort Apache Indian Reservation

One day this week, we did a 250 mile round trip to San Carlos Lake on the Apache Reservation. It was just exactly what both of us needed. Mike got to wet a line and loose a couple of lures and I had an opportunity to take a couple hundred pictures. Each of us obtained a permit for $10 to enjoy the day; a daily fishing license for Mike and a daily recreation permit for me.

Everywhere I looked, the desert flowers were in bloom.

And there was some pretty good graffiti in evidence on an abandoned building. The lupine by the lake was an unexpected site.

These are just of few of the scenes we saw... what a marvelous way to spend a day!

I just had to pull out "big bertha" (my old camera) and get some close ups.

Notice the stars on this flower - what perfection there is in nature!
The printer has been busy since that day and we now have a "desert flower theme" ...

Our next stop is Tucson for an FMCA Workhorse Chassis Rally; probably not a real photographic adventure... but who knows!
