We Are Ready To Cruise!
For the past week, we have been making lists and packing bags and relocating "stuff" and unpacking and making more lists and running to town for "just one more thing" and checking out details AND we worked in a couple of visits to our favorite places in San Diego.
Of course, Point Loma was on our list and up in that area, we found a new "great view" street to add to our itinerary. This view from there is the screen saver on my new computer. For those of you who haven't visited this wonderful city yet, that is the city skyline in the background.
We also took a chance and visited Hotel Del Coronado - I am sure some of you remember Mike's story about being called a pervert when he inadvertently touched a gal he thought was me - well, that happened while looking at the Christmas Tree. I kept close tabs on him this year!
These "ornaments" on the tree are at least 5 feet tall!
And how could we miss Seaport Village; especially when the tree of poinsettias is in full bloom. We also made a trip to the fudge shop while there - the prices have gone up but the fudge is still the best I have ever tasted!
Adrienne was out in the LA area for some training and then on to her brother's in Mission Viego and the two of them met us for a late lunch one day this week. It was a fun way to spend a couple of hours; Ade is always fun to be around and it was nice to meet her brother.
Now, we are ready to cruise! We leave on Friday and will return on Sunday the 19th - then we are off to Palm Springs to celebrate Christmas and New Years. Bobbi and David will join us there and then Suz will come in from Fargo on the 29th. This is a busy time of year and Life is Good!
Expect cruise pictures in a couple of weeks. Till then...
