Valentine's Day, Moving Day and Leaving Day

There were flowers, chocolate, wine, good food and wonderful company. Valentine's Day was a delight!
The six of us gathered at the condo for a tri-tip dinner and a few drinks.

The guys were happy with beer and wine and the wonderful company of devoted spouses... is that poring it on too heavy even for Valentine's???

A quick summary of the evening - wine, lime flavored tortilla chips (don't try them - they are addicting), wine, dinner, brandy alexanders (ah, you gotta love Mexico), cards (Mike and I took home a few nickels), wine, chocolate molten cake (can't believe it was from a box), wine and the whole thing was mixed with laughter. It was a very good evening!

And today was moving day. Our two weeks was complete in Desert Hot Springs so we packed up and headed out to the regional park south of La Quinta for a couple of weeks. We have never stayed here before, but have visited and found it beautiful. Our MH is in this picture, can you find it???

Lael and Doug, and Louise and Mel came over for lunch today and afterwards we took a walk... only to find that this narrow "shortcut" didn't go all the way across the lake.
On the way back, the cloudy sky was beginning to threaten rain and later in the day, it did rain. Here in the desert that doesn't happen very often - too bad it couldn't have held off another day.
Tomorrow is leaving day for L & M. It is time for them to head back to Minnesota. It has been fun hanging out and getting to know them better.

We'll miss you!
