Cousin's Weekend 2013
This year at our annual gathering, we tried to figure out how many years we have been meeting - thirteen or fourteen I think. Whatever it is, I know that we all look forward to it and we all thoroughly enjoy the time together. For me, it is a time to enjoy "sisters" that I never had. It is a joy to have the next generation join us. This year was Gaby's first time; she is Cheryl's granddaughter from Phoenix and I think she enjoyed Red Wing, Minnesota.
We visited the best bakery in the state and then shopped and then toured the city by trolley. This was something I have never done before and it was well worth the $10.
Beautiful parks,
great buildings,
views that are familiar,
and information on old houses never seen before.
After the trolley ride, it was time for a wine tasting at Falcon Vineyards.
The nights are some of the most fun times. The card playing and conversation and good food treats complete the Fischer tradition. These are times to put away the cameras and just play!
Becky and Pam joined us late Friday night and were ready to go when it was cruise time on Saturday.
All of us recommend the bloody marys.
The whole group enjoyed buffet lunch together.
Some of us fed the seagulls that followed the boat.
And since we all have a hard time keeping track of when we were where, I wrote it on the cement as we went through the lock south of the casino.
It was a great time. And now, we are off to new adventures.

I love that you all do this.
