Visits From Family
The house is now a home - it has been broken in! One night over July 4th weekend there were 15 of us sleeping in the house and in the motorhome. But I am getting ahead of myself.
Bridget and her family visited the last weekend in June. It was a joy to spend time with Bridget, Brian, and their children. (For those of you who are trying to place Bridget in the family... she is Tiny's daughter, my former step-daughter and forever friend.)
This is Grace feeding the newest member of the family
and this gives you an idea of the action that must happen daily in the Boche household.
The girls enjoyed our outing to the world's largest loon (and playground).
It was a windy day... can you tell from my hairdo...
Brian took over grilling activities one night. Mike didn't mind one little bit!
I love this series of pics - all taken within two minutes.
The girls enjoyed the Studio/ Shed and made some big posters to help decorate.
Mike got some "baby time" - he is a sucker for the little ones
and I enjoy them two and up - good pair we are!
Bridget's family will always be a part of my family.
The weekend of July 4th, we had a house full. My niece, Pam, and her family and Mike's son Terry and his whole crew came to see our new digs and enjoy the weekend. At max we had 13 + us. It was fun and everyone got along very well even though some had just met and others hadn't seen each other for years.
I couldn't resist this picture one early morning
or this one of the remnants from the night before.
Grandma Janet enjoyed playing ball with Aiden.
Water was a draw - some went fishing early each morning.
Joe and Mike were two of the frequent fishermen.
Amariah and Kate enjoyed hanging out together. The were inseparable for the whole weekend.
The two enjoyed getting sandy
and washing off - "Who us?"
Yep, they came home soaked that day!
Sara and Pam sampled Barry's wine. And we sampled lots of Sara's homemade wine - Mike order a case... I think...
Just a cool shot.
Oh yea, did I tell you we sampled wine...
I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know this little sweetie - first time we have ever spent major time together.
Chris got to practice his cooking skills.
Mealtimes were always a bit chaotic.
This is what happens when I leave my camera unattended. You are not going to see the pics of Pam's big toe or someone's ear hair! That will teach me.
Mike's little red wagon sure comes in handy when hauling stuff to the lake.
Terry took a crew tubing.
Sara and Aiden enjoyed the peace and quiet of the pool (thanks, Janet, for bringing it up)
After the sun got to her, we got to sample her home made sangria - you are a great wine maker, Sara!
Yes, Pam and you are a great cook - looks like a cooking show advertisement - perhaps you missed your calling!
Beers and relaxation - life doesn't get any better.
Kaci looks like she is getting ready to hurt someone - took a few swings with the club (at a ball, not a human) and I think she has potential.
Mike got into the pool activities.
Does she look like she is planning revenge?
Oh yea, he got seriously wet!
Oh Oh mom is stepping in to help out
while these folks would rather watch and be amused than participate.
Kaci gets in a couple of good licks
and yes, Pam is still cooking.
Oh Oh this looks like it could be war!
He has staked his spot,
making plans,
but food interrupts - quick showers are taken and eating is the order of the day.
Eating is serious business.
Especially the eating of sweet corn.
Joe has such a handsome smile!
So does Aiden!
Sara and Mike "enjoyed" cribbage - SARA WON!
There was quiet time
and noisy time
and lots of good food.
And, of course, there were family portraits the last day.
One last fish to catch.
Anaiah seemed surprised when she caught one.
Love this - Aiden is ready with the needle nose just in case mom gets one.
He caught one!
Kids pay attention when mom Sara is giving lessons.
Aiden did kiss his first fish but I missed a good shot.
He seemed to enjoy it!
Snails hold the attention of young.
And another family says goodbye.
The last couple weekends have been busy ones - this weekend seems almost like a let down. Thanks to all of those family members who helped us "break in the house". You are all welcome at anytime!
