A Delightful Sunday!
It was "Sawmill Sunday" and what better excuse for a gathering. The day was beautiful and the mill was fully staffed with volunteers who were doing what men working the sawmill have been doing since the 1870's.
And 'the old timer' was there to answer questions for Judy and Gary, and then to share his knowledge with Charlie, Doug, and Gary. Oh, by the way, he also told me that if you put a teaspoon of Epsom Salts by each tomato plant every other week or so throughout the summer, you will have a wonderful harvest - "it is magnesium, you know, and that is what does it - the fruit even tastes better." I may try it on my one tomato plant next year.
After our history lesson, we had some snacks, enjoyed some conversation and a round of golf complete with lots of laughs - just the way golf should be played. Oh yea, we drank a bit too and that is probably why I forgot about my camera and just had fun with our new friends. After supper there were more stories, more laughs and more camaraderie - then the bugs set in and it was time to call it a day.
It was a delightful Sunday!
