A FAMILY CAMPOUT

Once a year, my brother and sister-in-law, Rich and Anita, host a campout for their five children and all their families. This is the second year we have been invited to join them and this year especially, it was just what we needed.

On Thursday, we moved our home from Lake Jefferson to Janesville, MN and joined the other campers and tents. The story is best told in pictures and, of course, I took a few.

This is the view of our campsite; the Class C in the foreground is Rich's MH.

We golfed the Prairie Ridge Course in Janesville a couple of different times. Jeff and his son look pretty professional to me!
Rich and Mike took a time out on the course.Evan was a great chauffeur for Mike. Everyone enjoyed the weekend camping experience in their own way...
There was plenty of booze and food for everyone! Mike was always near the front of the food line and I was ... well... ok, close to the booze!

While the little ones enjoyed a game.

The older ones planned something...

Brother and Sister shared a birthday moment. Yahtzee - can you believe I got it twice!

Brothers enjoyed a conversation when Jim and Monica visited on Saturday afternoon.

Yep, that is mom! Jim brought her over so she could enjoy the festivities for an hour or two.

We took the opportunity for a picture of "us kids" with mom. It seems our schedules don't allow us to be together as often as we would like. These two had some competition going on the golf course - looks like hard feelings carried over, but I don't think they really did... Mike just went to the table with fewer flies! The flies were just terrible all weekend long.

Gotta wonder what Katara is thinking...

Kate looks truly content, doesn't she...

Sometimes you just need a time to do your own thing, huh Nolan.
Anita's sister stopped in for a visit and to wish Anita a Happy Birthday.

On Sunday, a family picture was taken... And then another one was taken when we realized that Lauren was taking a shower... the littlest one saw something that drew her attention elsewhere...

And then it was time to head it north. Thanks Rich and Anita's Family for sharing your weekend with us.
More from the north country in another post. Oh yea, and if you are trying to reach us by email, don't expect a quick reply!
